About Us
Our History
Mark's Tree Service got its start during the ice storm in 1998 and shortly after began operating as full-time tree service up until 2016. During this time, Mark mainly worked as a sub-contractor managing crane assisted take-downs, climbing and complex tree rigging for other tree services who did not have the expertise or equipment to perform such tasks. In 2016 Mark received a Bachelor's degree from USM in Gorham and subsequently accepted full-time employment as a mechanical engineer. This transition put what appeared to be an end to Mark's Tree Service. However, his 2 sons have expressed a strong interest in a combination of; tree climbing, learning the years of business experience, tree expertise, and customer satisfaction knowledge that their father has gained through his professional life.

Who We Are
Not only is Mark's Tree Service licensed and insured, their equipment is modern, well maintained, and complies with ANSI (workplace safety standards enforced by OSHA) for both power-lines and mechanical certifications. Furthermore, as his sons transition from apprentice Maine arborists into First Class utility arbrorists, they will be engaged in the structured learning that Mark has outlined in his personal tree library. His sons are also learning the "The Art and Science of Practical Rigging in Trees", as it was presented to Mark by the creators of ANSI Z133 (tree arborist safety standards enforced by OSHA), Ken Palmer and Rip Tompkins. Mark successfully completed Ken and Rip's hands-on, safety and productivity training course called ArborMaster.
